Our consultants are experienced presenters, teacher educators, and researchers – professors, curriculum leaders, teachers, & principals – who understand the needs of schools and community organizations. We have extensive experience helping schools, districts, and non-profits improve their organizations' culture and climate. They help develop and improve infrastructure to set teams up for long-term success.

Kate Weber, Ph.D.

Kate has served the schoolRISE® team since 2005 - as a consultant, Vice President, and currently Chief Executive Officer. She has extensive experience in supporting schools to build capacity for long-term improvement. Additionally, she served as Assistant Director of Partnership READ at University of Illinois at Chicago, and Assistant Professor of literacy at Arizona State University. She received her BS in Elementary Education, her MEd in Instructional Leadership, and her PhD in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum & Instruction.

Daryl Robbins, Ed.S.

Daryl specializes in educational leadership, language arts, principal and aspiring principal mentoring, and school improvement. She was an elementary and middle school teacher, and elementary school principal. She received her BA in Elementary Education, and her MA in Curriculum and Teaching, both from Michigan State University. She received her Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Oakland University.

 
 

Over long careers of research and practice, and with a clear vision of bringing students of all backgrounds to high levels of achievement, Dr. Kathryn Au and Dr. Taffy Raphael developed a comprehensive approach to help schools create a long-term trajectory of growth. The approach has been rigorously tested and improved upon in over 150 schools with positive results in: school culture & climate, classroom practices & assessment, and student achievement & engagement.
